The answer is: Jill

Yesterday my West Coast Soul Sista, Kasia, dropped me a line letting me know that she has a friend in Winnipeg who is looking to build up her photography portfolio and offering free sessions. Kasia suggested this would be the perfect time for me to visually "document my awesomeness".

I checked out the link Kasia sent me to see about getting booked in. At first I wasn't sure if I'd get accepted as the photographer stated she was seeking subjects for lifestyle portraiture; e.g. maternity, newborns and older babies, children, families, couples, and pets. The only category I'd qualify for there is "pets" but Elmo is not very good at getting his picture taken. I took my chance anyway and sent this note to Alexandra:

My friend Kasia let me know that you are currently doing free photo sessions to build your portfolio. I am not pregnant, a mother, or even part of a couple, but I did just buy a canoe, and I have a beautiful orange truck that I love. So if you think that either of those, plus me, would make for an interesting subject, let me know. I'd love to take advantage of your offer.

She replied with this:

As a matter of fact, I have been on a quest to find such a transportation-oriented subject (also seeking willing model with pet tigers, if you know anyone...;) )

First of all, yay! This is going to be fun and cool! I haven't had my picture professionally done (aside from wedding party photos) since I graduated from high school. I have way better hair now!

Second of all, but certainly no less exciting, Alexandra was on a quest for someone like me. Today, just for being me, I was the answer somebody was looking for. That's really cool when I think about it.

What's your quest? Who's your answer? Put it out there and see what happens.

You know that I could use somebody
Someone like you

I loved the way you said that you were what someone was looking for. That's got to be such a great feeling!

And I love that song. Alex and I listen to it all the time on our late night drives.

Aw Julienne, maybe one day we can double date. Canoeing, ice cream and Kings of Leon. Keep your fingers crossed ;)
