Random Acts of Kindness Day 1

I was feeling pretty anxious about today, a lot of pressure to do something nice for someone. All day I was looking around going, "what can I do?!" Here's what I've done so far to celebrate RAK week:

  1. Randomly mailed out valentines to people from the phone book. Also sent some to some friends in far off places and a few local radio station morning shows. In each card I included one of my Share a little heart/RAK 2007 pink hearts. The cards should have arrived in the mail today. Anybody check their mailbox lately?
  2. A new guy started in our department today so I sent him a welcome greeting wishing him a good start and offering my support.
  3. I took my sister's car to the car wash tonight and put some gas in it. She's been really busy lately studying and her poor car was pretty dirty.
  4. I went to Joanna's tonight to bake cookies with her. We made a package for the department (shh if you're reading this before Jo gets in) and we also wrapped some plates up for the two security desks and the local fire hall. We plan to do deliveries tomorrow.
My list seems so small but I'm hoping I reach a lot of people who will in turn pass the message along. Duane has run away with the challenge already and his friends have also jumped on board. It's pretty cool to know that I started something on the other side of the country. This is me sending a big Thank You to anyone who has decided to participate.

Thanks for the card! I didn't get it until Tuesday, but it was well timed.
