A little sunshine between the clouds

We are preparing to move to a new floor at our office. Today I spent some time making boxes and filling them with the things I probably won't need before Friday. I don't know what exactly it was, but carrying the flattened cardboard box over my head, back to my desk, gave me a great sensation of happiness. I think I'm going to start carrying more things over top of my head.

I had three people think of me today, just because. My grandma phoned and my dad phoned, and my friend Judy sent me a "how are you doing?" text message. Things like this remind me that good people are naturally attracted to me and they are always there when I need them.

I had a good long chat with my mom on the phone today too. While talking to her I asked, "hey, did you get chocolate samples in the mail this week?" Sure, we aren't in the same neighbourhood anymore, but if I was getting samples of Lindt chocolate in my modest neighbourhood, surely she would be in posh Charleswood.

"No," she said.

You can call it a marketing promotion, I call three sample pieces of Lindt dark chocolate and a $2.00 coupon in my mailbox a sweet "warm wishes!" gift from the Universe.

Call it karma, gifts from God, whatever, I just honestly do believe that if you put genuine love and good energy out there, it always comes back to you. I refuse to let people turn me into a cynic.

I believe that too!! Keep putting it out there, Jilly. It will come back tenfold.

I warned you about the consequences of moving to the wrong side of the river...

But my side of the river gets chocolate, yours does not. I fail to see the consequence here!

Ooops, I read that wrong. I thought it was the other way around. I guess you're just the charity case.
