It was one year ago today that I took Truck home with me. I remember how excited everyone was for me that Truck had finally arrived. It's hard to believe that Truck and I have been together for a full circle of seasons.I woke Truck up this morning just after ten to take me to Pilates. Truck complained a bit. It was cold last night and I didn't plug him in. He warmed up quickly though. Along the way to class I noticed the reading on the odometer change to 8000 km, which is pretty low I guess but I don't drive to work everyday. We've only had one road trip together (Grand Forks/Fargo) and a couple of trips up to the lake. We'd like to go farther this year; we both have big dreams.
To celebrate the day, I took truck to the car wash and then to lunch at the Petro Canada. Later, we looked at two open houses (both were duds). I might still take Truck to the drive thru for a McFlurry.

Good story about Truck. In January 2006 I got Car. I feel bad because Car and I didn't celebrate our one year anniversary two weeks ago. In fact, I accidentally broke Car's sideview mirror by backing up too fast in my parkade. He wasn't impressed.
I haven't driven Car too much either.. He only has 9000 kms on him, and we even did a few road trips.
Truck is kind of sensitive. I think he would be upset if I let the day go by without acknowledgement, although we've only had a
fight once he did sustain a somewhat major injury also this past summer.
I also tend to get impatient with him when he tries to tell me "low traction" so we didn't make it out for a McFlurry tonight as it was a McFlurry outside.
