Happy Jill Day!

Turning 25 turned out to be pretty sweet. I started the day with reading my birthday horoscope (the best one was in the Free Press). When I got to work I received very special cards, each one addressing a different part of my personality. From Amara there was the very fashionable card, from Joanna a card about dreams, and from Abby a card that plays Everybody have Fun Tonight by Wang Chung! I'm not talking just a crappy melody version, but an excerpt of the actual song! All day I went around the office whipping the card out and dancing on the spot.

For lunch Hollene, Tom, Abby and I went to Spicy Noodle House. Soup was good and spicy. I got a fortune cookie AND a calendar (Soup Man doesn't hate me anymore!). Of course we made a Starbucks stop on the way back.

When I returned, my team was hanging out in the hallway. I asked them what was up and they presented me with a Jeannie's cake (legendary in Winnipeg) and a card. I think I actually jumped up and down once or twice. Then my sister phoned to wish me happy birthday and offer to pick me up from work. The day just kept getting better and better.

Next I checked my g-mail and got the news I had been waiting for. I won't say here what it was, but it made me deliriously happy.

And at some point while I was running around celebrating, security phoned to say I had a delivery waiting for me. My mom had sent me flowers.

Tonight I'm going to Casa Grande with my family as per tradition. After dinner some of my extended family and Lisa will join us for cake and presents.
