I would like to add Going to California by Led Zeppelin to your list (one of the greatest songs ever written). Did you know that California Dreamin was originally by the Mamas & the Papas?? The Beach Boys covered it like 20 years later. Of course nothing beats the original, although the INXS guy did a pretty good job on that rock star show.
Don't forget Amy, without whom, both of us would be homeless here.
I think I did know that the Mammas & The Pappas originally did California Dreamin. When I hear the song in my head it is the M&P version I hear, but for some reason when I think of the group to associate it with I immediately think Beach Boys even though I can't quite remember how they sound singing it. And consider Going to California added to the list. I thought you would have more to add. Maybe there's not as many CA songs out there as I thought.
